Moderation Is Key
One thing that sets people off from their diet is restrictions. When you don't allow yourself to eat what you love, it's easy to feel bad about your diet and eventually fall off the wagon and go back to where you were before you started dieting. But if you allow yourself to eat the treats you love simply in moderation you can still feel good about everything. So rather than denying yourself the pleasure of a desire you've been fiending, indulge everyonce in a while, and you will never feel the emptiness of depriving yourself. I personally am a chocolate addict, so I incorporate chocolate into my diet everyday just as long as it is small. Remember there is really no such thing as a "bad" food only a "bad" portion. Snacking is a good way to remind yourself how to eat in moderation. There are plenty of ways to snack and still be on track on your diet. I too am a chocolate addict! I agree everything is fine in moderation. I do not believe in denying yourself anything that you love to eat. It just sets you up for failure, the longer you deny yourself something you love the more of eat you will eat once you get your hands on it.Dieting can be very tricky and the real trick to it is moderation and portion sizes. As long as you are varying your foods and eating the right amounts and controlling your cravings by not overindulging in unhealthy choices than you should be fine. Of course incorporating exercise with your diet is a major factor. I thin that the Snack App in the smart phone is a very cool idea. I do not have an iphone but that feature sounds very useful!
ReplyDeleteI am inlove with chocolate. That is one thing that I can not live without. I usually have some once a week even if it is a little piece. I cant not go long with out chocholate. I usually try and eat it in moderation but it is so hard too when it tastes so good! This is a good reminder that you can always have something but just keeping it control. Great blog.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you! Everything in moderation is a great way to maintain healthy eating and enjoy the things you love the most. I too love chocolate and icecream so when I do have them I make sure to only eat a little at a time. Thats interesting the Iphone has that app because I'm sure its an easy tool for people to use to stay one track. I will have to keep my eye out for that app!
