Toning Easily?

I'm sure you've all heard of the EasyTone walking shoe released by Reebok somewhat recently. The shoe that promises to tone your legs and bottom just by simply walking in them! These shoes have become very popular since release; and why wouldn't someone buy a shoe to easily tone? Isn't that what we all want? The science of the shoe involves air pockets that create the setting that you are walking on sand rather than just regular ground. But the question is; do they actually work? Customers have noted that they do feel as though walking with EasyTone shoes makes one feel as though they are getting a workout and they can actually feel it in their muscles. I have also spoken with a manager at a shoe store who doesn't believe in the magic of the shoe. What about looks? Do these shoes actually show a difference? It seems as though researchers are not exactly impressed. I think it's more of a mind game; maybe if one believes the shoes are working one will become motivated to work harder and really experience the difference. My conclusion is if they work for you, go for it, but it's going to take a lot more than a new pair of shoes to get the benefits you really deserve. 1. Just read your first few posts...all interesting topics, neat images and good links. Hadley posted about the shoes, as well. I agree that real benefits typically take real work!

  2. I agree with Cherish when she says that she thinks the shoe is more of a mind game. I think they idea of the product is a great idea its very creative and inovative but, toning and geting in shape is just not that easy and it probably never will be. I think one aspect of the shoe that might atrackt people to it, would be all the results, data and information that is posted for the buyers on the Reebok website. It states things like the shoes have been worn and tested by hundreds of people and it has accumulated to over 20,000 hours of testing. All these advertising points would suck the readers and buyers right in becuase its interesting and it seems to be factual. I haven't done in-depth research on the shoe, I've looked around at some reviews and heard different things. My mother and my aunt actually tried out the show and both developed the same lower back problem from it. The doctor said it was from a certain lack of support do to the make-up and shape of the shoe and wear the soul was wearing down. Again, I think its a creative idea, but i agree when she says its a mind game and benifitscome from real hard work when exercising.
